The outcome of the School will be for each team or individual attending to write and present a qualitative research proposal for entry into an IPCRG prize that will include cash up to €10,000 and mentoring to enable the project to be implemented. 

 At the end of the course participants will be able to:

Pre-work: In advance of the meeting, please consider the research question you wish to pursue, and read the published literature so you are ready to take advantage of the workshop to learn about the methods.  Information will be sent to those who register.

Thursday 23 May 13.00 – 18.00: Introduction to qualitative methods and writing a research proposal 

 

Friday 24 May 09.00 – 12.00:  Qualitative Interviewing Skills: interviewer as 'research tool' and reflexivity

Presentation of proposal and judging 25 May 09.00 – 10.30

Each group to have 10 mins to present question and method, and for panel of reviewers to decide on winner. 


Winner will be announced (and prize awarded) at the closing plenary of the Scientific Meeting on Saturday 25th May 12.05 – 12.45.
