    This is an international survey by the IPCRG of  practice related to managing children with asthma in the community
    Our Australian  member, National Asthma Council Australia, NAC, published its Asthma Management Handbook 2006 in November 2006 aimed at GPs and community pharmacists, but emphasising a team approach.  The revisions include
    • updated diagnostic, management and prescribing guidelines
    • expanded material on asthma and allergy, exercise-induced asthma, occupational asthma, asthma in pregnancy and in older people, and comorbidities
    • more detail on diet and complementary medicine
    • new chapters on smoking cessation and asthma prevention
    • practical advice on providing structured asthma care in the primary care setting
