- Global Burden of Asthma Report 2011
This report advocates prompt, effective action to counter the devastating personal and economic impact of untreated and poorly managed asthma. The disease affects 235 million people today with prevalence rising. Low- and middle-income countries suffer the most severe cases and yet the tools to change this are available.

Theophylline, usually administered orally, is an effective bronchodilator which may be used in the management of both asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). - NAC Asthma Management Handbook 2006 online edition Our Australian member, National Asthma Council Australia, NAC, published its Asthma Management Handbook 2006 in November 2006 aimed at GPs and community pharmacists, but emphasising a team approach. The revisions include
