With the support of the IPCRG research committee, health professionals working in primary care are invited to participate in a new audit on management of uncontrolled asthma. The results will provide us with information on how patients with asthma exacerbations are managed in ‘real life’ ; we will be able to make comparisons with colleagues locally and internationally and we will be able to see how our management compares with guidelines.
After doing a brief summary of asthma prevalence in your practice, you will be sent log-on details so you can participate by including details of patients you see with uncontrolled asthma in the 3 months following.
The audit has been devised by Dr Mark Levy (UK), with help from Professors Aziz Sheikh (UK) and Helen Reddell (Australia). For further information, and to take part, please click here (Word document) to download a baseline audit form, to be completed and returned as instructed.
