Diagnosis: ARIA Classification: is it useful in guiding prescribing in primary care?

The recently developed ARIA guidelines classify allergic rhinitis based on the pattern of allergic rhinitis (intermittent vs persistent) and lifestyle impact (mild vs moderate-severe) and recommend treatment algorithms based on this.2 The usefulness and practicality of this in day-to-day practice in primary care is as yet unproven and needs to be evaluated.
