To date, most avoidance studies have dealt with asthma symptoms and very few with rhinitis. These studies suggest that a single intervention may be insufficient to control symptoms of rhinitis and asthma. Although practised by many, further studies are required to identify the feasibility and value of this integral part of rhinitis management strategy and what it adds to overall disease control.
