The 8th Meeting of the Global Alliance against Respiratory Disease took place on the 3rd - 4th July in Astana, Kazakhstan was attended by the IPCRG President Niels Chavannes.
We would like to share a great news with you that the Asia Pacific Congress of Asthma, Allergy, and Clinical Immunology (APCAACI) 2013 will be held on November 14-17, 2013 in Taipei International Convention Center, Taiwan. With the theme “Allergy, Infection, and Immunity in a Changing World”, the APCAACI 2013 program has been constructed in conjunction with various major topics such as, genetics to epigenetics of allergy and asthma in the emerging world, effect of global weather change cutting-edge of allergy and clinical immunology and frontier of allergy and asthma prevention and treatment. Thus, we are expecting to attract more than 1,500 participants from all over the world to this landmark congress.

Abstract submission for the EAACI-WAO Congress 2013 is now open with a submission deadline of 21 January 2013. Applications for 100 Travel Grants will also be accepted from Juniors with accepted abstracts.

The IPCRG will be giving four presentations at the 2013 WONCA World Conference in Prague.
The conference will take place in Prague on the 25th - 29th June 2013.
Four workshops have been included in the preliminary programme:
1. Strategies towards smoking cessation (Wednesday, June 26, 10,00-11,30)
2. Investigation and treatment of common allergic respiratory conditions that should be managed in general practice (Wednesday, June 26, 15,30-17,00)
3. Asthma Control and Severity. What should the doctor do to support patients with uncontrolled and severe asthma (Thursday, June 27, 10,00-11,30)
4. Early Detection and Management of Stable Disease and Exacerbations (Friday, June 28, 15,30-17,00)

The 18th Nordic Congress of General Practice will be taking place in Tampere, Finland on the 21st - 24th August 2013.
